Recorder is really simple and easy to use disc burner. With Recorder, you can burn Data CD, Audio CD, Data DVD, DVD Video, and ISO image.
Installing Recorder
- Recorder requires pygtk, cdrkit or cdrtools, and dvd+rw-tools. On Ubuntu 8.04, you can run the following command:
sudo apt-get install python-gtk2 wodim dvd+rw-tools - Download the latest version of Recorder from here, save to your desktop.
- Installing Recorder:
cd ~/Desktop tar jxvf recorder-1.3.3.tar.bz2 cd recorder-1.3.3 sudo make install
Recorder configuration
- Click Applications → Sound & Video → Recorder. This will open Recorder window.
- Click Edit → Preferences.
- After Path to your driver, type:
/dev/cdrom - Click OK

I’m glad that you like it. For the next release I will add support for VCD and SVCD discs and mp3 and ogg files in CD Audio mode.
