The Category Business Development Leader will be responsible for coordinating across multiple teams (Category, Sales, Business Development, In-stock Management, Account Management and Supply Chain Management) to drive the replication of this high demand inventory across the regional clusters.
Primary Responsibilities: -
Oversee all work and responsibilities of the Category Business Development function in the 3P Marketplace Business. Owner of the business goals that the Category teams need to deliver on, including the GMS from each team.
Work with the sales, category, supply chain, account management and business development teams to identify the high demand products that need to be replicated across regions.
Manage the team of account managers that engage with the most strategic accounts.
Lead the in-stock management function, and take on goals pertaining to fill rates of high GV selection on the marketplace.
Work with the Sales teams to identify and acquire sellers who can help replicate the high GV selection across regional clusters.
Owner of all tools and mechanisms that need to be put in place, to enable effective delivery of results listed above.
Work with external agencies/companies to facilitate the achievement of the goals listed above; to have oversight into some of the functions like Account Management, while not directly managing the same
12+ years of e-commerce, marketing, product/program management, consulting or related experience; team leadership;
Bachelor's degree and Master's degree
Extensive experience in program, and/or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services in ecommerce, retail, logistics, supply chain, internet products or related fields.
Experience defining market and product requirements, working with engineering organizations to rapidly deliver high-impact capabilities to market.
Experience in handling category management functions
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning/messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and concisely.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features and drive management of product.
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Collaborative working style. Must work well in a team environment.
Must have bias for action and strong work ethic.
Proven ability to deliver first class customer experiences with a deep understanding of UX best practices.
