About Personal Testing Services
Personal Testing Services is part of the Personal Banking CIO, and is responsible for testing for all Personal integration projects
Overall purpose of role
Deliver Test Management responsibilities over multiple testing projects in Personal Banking. Provide support to QA leadership team by taking ownership of some of the key strategic initiatives. Brings in industry expertise and knowledge into testing to drive innovation and new capabilities for testing. Define test strategy for the programme, managing the team and external teams to deliver the project with in time, cost and quality expected by the project stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities o
Effective and proactive planning to execute end to end testing of a project/programme. o
Ensure test deliverables (Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Model, Test Closure reports) are of highest quality and assigned team members produces them in line with the project schedule. o
Define testing strategy with clearly written detailed test approach for each of the in-scope test phases o
Ensure test team create and execute tests using both automation tools and manual methods as applicable aligning to overall test strategy defined. o
Facilitate defect triage so that all appropriate teams including own team participate in speedy resolution and ensure the team shares knowledge gained/lessons learned to wider testing community. o
Apply change management & configuration management principles to manage changing requirements, scope and approach during execution phase. o
Drive collaboration between the testing, development, support and business teams to ensure quality of delivery at each phase of testing. o
Provide accurate and timely status reports and project metrics to various levels of stakeholders and as agreed by the project and QA leadership team o
Track all testing Risks/Issues/Dependencies/Assumptions from beginning of the project till closure. o
Submit testing costs and resource allocation forecasts and any new resource requirements in timely proactive manner o
Assist portfolio test lead in testing engagement process and resource on-boarding/off-boarding process. o
Resource planning, cost estimation and cost control for the projects in scope from testing perspective. o
Mentoring and training the team on new methodologies, process, tools and management aspects. o
Escalate any issues to Portfolio Test Lead and Program Manager as appropriate and in timely manner and provide options to resolve the issues o
Assist Portfolio Test Lead in any operational tasks of managing a team including performance development, productivity improvement, agile and automation initiatives in terms of planning and implementation.

Key stakeholders are Portfolio Test Lead, Program/Portfolio Test Architect, Programme/Portfolio Manager, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads/Architects, and Solution Designers
Decision-making and Problem Solving
Pragmatic approach, collaborative nature and decision making skills required to resolve issues in end to end testing projects. The role is key for delivering projects on-time with in cost and budget.

Hands-on experience in one or more technical areas of Personal Banking technology platforms consisting of
§ Mainframe - COBOL, IMS, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, TWS, File-Aid, REXX
§ Open Systems and tools – Selenium, Java, Jenkins, J2EE, Web-services, APIs, XML, JSON, Parasoft/SoaTest –API testing
§ Mid-Tier technology – MQ, WebSphere, UNIX, API 3 rd party hosting platforms
§ Data warehouse – ETL, Informatica, Ab-initio, Oracle, Hadoop o
Domain Knowledge in Retail Banking and testing experience in one or more core banking product platforms/systems such as Accounting and clearing / General Ledger, Savings & Insurance products, Online/mobile payments, Customer & Risk systems, and Debit Cards and payments. o
Demonstrate the ability to work independently on all aspects of the testing lifecycle o
Experience in working on multiple projects of 6 months duration or more with global teams o
Experience in conducting interviews to hire o
Experience in HP Quality centre, JIRA or Agile Central (Rally) and similar test management tools. o
People Management: Should have at least 2 Years of experience in Line management with Appraisals and career guidance for a team of 10-15.
Educational qualification o
Graduate with technical background o
PMP and ISTQB/QAI certification will be an advantage o
Domain/Testing/Technical certification will be an advantage
