Pidgin 2.6.0 released

Pidgin 2.6.0 has been released. Pidgin is a a multi-protocol instant messenger client, it supports AIM, Google Talk, IRC, MSN, XMPP, Yahoo!, and more chat networks. Version 2.6.0 of Pidgin main brings the following new features:

  • Voice & Video framework and theme support in libpurple
  • Add support for receiving handwritten (ink) messages and audio clips on MSN
  • XMPP: Voice & Video support with Jingle, voice support with GTalk and voice and video support with the GMail web client
  • Yahoo!: P2P file transfers

Update: Pidgin has now been updated to 2.6.1.
