Kupfer is a simple launcher. It’s similar to GNOME Do. With Kupfer, you can quickly open applications, files, websites, and much more. If you don’t like Mono app GNOME Do, maybe you should try out Kupfer.
Installation
To install Kupfer c9.1 on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty, you can run the following commands:
$ wget http://kaizer.se/publicfiles/kupfer/kupfer-c9.1.tar.gz
$ tar zxvf kupfer-c9.1.tar.gz
$ cd kupfer-c9.1
$ ./waf configure --prefix=/usr
$ ./waf
$ sudo ./waf install
Now you can start Kupfer by clicking Applications → Accessories → Kupfer.

Ubuntu is packaged by Luca Falavigna for Ubuntu karmic. You might be able to grab the .deb here (should be one deb for all platforms, it’s python)
