Record screencasts with Krut Computer Recorder

With Krut Computer Recorder, you can record screencasts, including video, sound and selected areas of screen. Krut Computer Recorder supports Linux, Mac OS X and Windows platform.

How to run Krut Computer Recorder on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty

  1. Install Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment (JRE): $ sudo aptitude install sun-java6-jre
  2. Download krut 0.9.3 (linux) from here and save it to your desktop.
  3. Run Krut Computer Recorder:
    
    $ cd ~/Desktop
    $ unzip krut_full_ubuntu-BB_0_9_3.zip
    $ cd Ubuntu-BB\ Linux\ Package
    $ java -jar KRUT.jar
